The Elimination: I seriously love childrens’ choirs. There could easily be a project called 1000 best childrens’ choirs songs. For me, the lead vocal in this song is so outstanding, and the whole production is just so great. Just look at all those kids getting into it. When kids sing, sometimes they really deliver things that adults no longer can, and this is a good example. This version of the song just absolutely blows away the original version by Crystal Castles. But sadly, this YouTube is from the pre-Spotify days, and it has never made it to Spotify. And, for this project, you need to be on Spotify to be in.
Get Free is a very modern, very relevant to today kind of song. It’s extremely short, maybe the shortest song in the Eliminator 1000. But I love it anyway. Mereba has a superb compositional ability, and she uses here voice in this kind of modern spiritual in a great way. The way she’s down there below the choir, I could listen to a 20-minute version of this song with way more riffs. So well done.
